Who can apply?

Any designer aged 18 to 40 included who has created at least 2 collections of ready-to-wear.

You can apply from anywhere in the world.

 

Can I apply if I am self-taught?

Yes, we will be happy to examine your application if you are self-taught.

 

How many pieces should my collections include?

Each collection should include at least 6 outfits.

 

Will you consider my application if I only design accessories?

This competition is open to ready-to-wear designers who have produced at least 2 collections of menswear, womenswear or genderless collections. If in addition to ready-to-wear, you design accessories, we’ll be happy to examine your application but not if you only design accessories.

 

I have already applied in the past. May I apply again?

You may apply as many times as you wish, as long as you are 40 or under.

 

What are the selection criteria?

The LVMH Prize is looking for talent, creative passion and an awareness of key issues such as sustainability.

 

Who selects the semi-finalists?

The LVMH Prize committee selects the semi-finalists.

 

Will I have to travel to Paris for the semi-final? For the final?

In 2021, because of the health crisis, the semi-final will be held digitally. So if you are shortlisted for the semi-final, you won’t travel to Paris.

However, in case you need to travel, we recommend you make sure you can and have all the required documents.

 

Who will take care of my travel and accommodation expenses if I travel to Paris?

If you travel to Paris, we will pay for your travel and accommodation expenses within reason (cf. the rules under Terms & Conditions through a link in the footer of the application form).
